That's wild because I was just thinking about tarot this morning. My sister just successfully Kickstarted her own tarot deck, and I love the art, but I'm like: how does tarot even really work? I get that there are "rules" to it, but I think you have to be open to a kind of storytelling element and willingness to participate in order for it to "work."

That Mexican OT is fantastic. "I'm just rhymin words, I don't even know how to rap." That's such a distillation of what makes his joyful delivery so potent. He's really not even trying, just tapping into something he inherently knows how to do. I've got a feeling that the best artists in any medium would nod their heads in recognition.

Bro, that's so dope. You have a link to her deck or the Kickstarter? Tarot, how I use it and how people I've gone to for divination and guidance use it, does require that willingness to participate like you said. It's basically diving into the subconscious and pulling it up to the surface through interpretation of the art in the sequence it lands. If that makes sense.

I'm really glad you're fucking with That Mexican OT. Dude is on another level.

Oh yeah, absolutely. Here's the deck: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/aerystudios/animal-spirit-guides-tarot Your description of it makes sense! I've never thought to do it, myself, but I'd be down to try it sometime. They've got all these little 占い fortune telling shops around where I live, so maybe they do similar practices.

And what I like about that video in particular is, OT (and Paul Wall!) is just smiling and having fun. It's infectious. I don't know about you, but I'm ready for some more joy to come back to rap.

And i agree whole-heartedly on the joy thing, that goes for any medium. Fun translates through the work.
